Head Referee – Alex Gorin

Alex Gorin is the “Law”.  He has held the coveted post of LAPL Head Referee since the league’s inception in 2002.  Prior to that, from 1985 until 1991, he was a National Referee for the Premier Division of the USSR Professional Football League.  And since 1996, Alex has held the National NISOA Referee title.

In addition to overseeing the Los Angeles Premier League, Alex was also an NCAA Division One referee.  During his college career, he earned three consecutive selections, from 2005-2007, to participate in the NCAA Division One Men’s College Cup and an overall total of five selections from 2005-2010 to officiate the Final Four Championships.  When one considers that only six referees receive this honor each year from among 130,000 in the United States, Alex’s accomplishment is unprecedented and legendary!
